Dr. Ronney Abaza is a urologist in Columbus, Ohio whose practice and academic interests are dedicated solely to robotic surgery. Dr. Abaza has performed over 8,000 robotic urologic surgeries. He is an innovator in robotic surgery as the first in the world to report robotic surgery for adrenocortical carcinoma, kidney cancer with IVC thrombi, ureteroileal anastomosis revisions after cystectomy, renal autotransplantation, and several other procedures. He is also a pioneer of using ultralow pneumoperitoneum pressure in robotic prostatectomy and of outpatient robotic urologic surgery. He has authored over 150 book chapters and articles in the fields of robotic surgery and urologic cancers, and his work has been cited in over 2,500 publications. Dr. Abaza frequently serves as faculty at conferences and educational courses and has performed live surgery for the American Urological Association (AUA), the World Congress of Endourology, ERUS, NARUS, IRUS, and SRS, among others. His YouTube channel of instructive robotic surgeries has been viewed over 100,000 times and has more than 1,200 subscribers.

Dr. Abaza is Surgery Department Chair at Mount Carmel Dublin Hospital, the Physician Advisor over the Mount Carmel Prostate Cancer Program, and the Board Chairman for the Central Ohio Urology Surgery Center. He is father to three children, and he and his wife have been happily married for over 25 years.
