Karen Doersch

MD, PhD

Karen Doersch is a fellow in the Functional and Reconstructive Urology Program at the University of Colorado and an incoming faculty member at the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York. She completed her undergraduate at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA, followed by a combined MD and PhD at Texas A&M. She then completed urology residency at the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York. Her clinical interests include urethral stricture disease, ureteral strictures, male and female incontinence, and robotic surgery. She has a strong research interest in ureteral strictures and in the molecular drivers of scar formation in the urinary tract. In her spare time, she enjoys live music and spending time with her dog.
