Doctor Enrique Ian Lorenzo obtained his medical degree at the University of Santo Tomas and had his urology training at the Jose R Reyes Memorial Medical Center in Manila, Philippines. He had his fellowship training in minimally Invasive surgery with focus in oncology at Yonsei University in Seoul, Korea and supplanted this with a visiting physician course at the James Buchanan Brady Urological Institute at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.

After training, he went back to the Philippines and has become the Training Officer of the Department of Urology at Jose R. Reyes Memorial Medical Center, Head of research and training of The Medical City Robotics Program, the head of the Uro-Oncology Program of the Medical City, the program director of the Optimized Fellowship Training in Endourology/MIS thru Consortium and he is the current Secretary of the Philippine Urological Association.

He has published many articles and videos in the field on endourology and MIS in both local and international platforms. He has likewise done pioneering work in the field of laparoscopy and robotics in the Philippines.
