Cassandra Shepherd
Cassandra is currently the ACP supervisor for robotics and first-assist services across three hospitals within the western region of Northwell Health. Along with leading a team of 5 ACPs, she works alongside residents and nurses to provide education in the OR, and specifically at the bedside. She was previously full-time, currently per-diem, at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center on their multi-surgical services providing surgical care to patients across multiple specialties. There, she developed the current curriculum for the ACP fellowship in robotics. Cassandra graduated PA school in 2015 and has spent her career in the operating room with a special focus on robotics and minimally-invasive surgery. She has a passion for program and competency development, simulation, multi-disciplinary education, and hands-on training.
