PA-C
Anna Must, PA-C, is a Physician Assistant specializing in robotic-assisted urologic surgery at Swedish Urology in Seattle, Washington. As a primary first assistant within a high-volume robotic oncology program, she has extensive experience supporting radical prostatectomy, partial and radical nephrectomy, retroperitoneal lymph node dissection (RPLND), and cystectomy on the da Vinci Xi and SP platforms. Her work emphasizes operative efficiency, platform fluency, and the coordination required to maintain consistency across complex robotic procedures.
Anna contributes to surgical team development by assisting in the on-the-job training of fellows and scrub technologists, focusing on robotic setup, instrument familiarity, and workflow optimization during multi-step oncologic cases. She has participated in a U.S.-based FDA clinical trial utilizing the Hugo™ RAS system, with additional international experience in regions where the platform is approved. This multi-platform exposure informs her understanding of the operational, ergonomic, and workflow variables that influence robotic integration.
In 2025, Anna was invited to speak at the European Association of Urology (EAU) Robotic Urology Section [ERUS] meeting in London, where she presented “Overcoming the Challenges in Utilizing Multi-Robotic Platforms in Surgery: A PA-C First Assistant Perspective.” Her presentation explored practical differences across systems, strategies for maintaining efficiency during platform transitions, and the unique contributions of PA-Cs in supporting multi-robotic programs. Her professional interests include robotic innovation, OR workflow design, surgical team dynamics, and the evolving role of advanced practice providers in robotics.
