Alinder Londono

RN

Alinder Londono is a Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) at Hackensack Meridian Health for thirty-one years. He graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the University of Phoenix. He holds a Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) certification from Engelstad School of Health Science/National Institute of First Assisting from the College of Nevada and is a licensed Professional Nurse in New Jersey and New York. Mr. Londono was the 2021 recipient of the Degennaro Scholarship at Hackensack Meridian Health.

He began his nursing career on a telemetry/open heart step-down unit. After three years, he transferred to the operating room and specialized in cardiothoracic surgery. He began in the educator role and later became the cardiac surgery program coordinator. Three years ago, he took on a new opportunity with the urology robotic team doing robotic surgery with the Da vinci Single Port and Multiple Port robot system. Mr. Londono collaborated on the evidence best practice publication “Teamwork for Prevention: Reducing HAPUS in Cardiac Surgery” (July, 2017).

Early in his nursing career, he dedicated time to community service by participating in many medical missions to the Philippines and Colombia with Operation Smile International.

A certified bilingual and fluent English/Spanish communicator and strong collaborator, he partners effectively with surgeons and other personnel on complex robotic surgeries and is calm, patient, and focused in a high-risk healthcare setting. He has helped raise efficiency by introducing new best practices for better patient outcomes during and post urological surgeries.
